Try this one, "Past the Shallows" by Favel Parrett. Its a story about three brothers growing up in a remote part of Tasmania with an abusive father. Still on the Tassie theme (may as well!) "The Roving Party" by Rohan Wilson is a great read. Its set in 1829 and is about a party of settlers and convicts searching for Aborigines. Another - Death of a River Guide by Richard Flanagan - group of tourist on a raft tour down Tasmania's wild Franklin River when one falls overboard .....
