The Book Thief
Just saw the author interviewed on the ABC 7.30 report, didn't realise he was so young. What a talent. He has been working on his second novel for the past 6 years. Not quite sure how he will surpass the brilliance of his first.
When he submitted his book, the person assigned to reading it, read it in one sitting, and said we have a masterpiece on our hands. How true.
Had a quick look at the trailers for the movie due to be released this month in Australia, also the reviews. Absolutely shocking, sugar coated Hollywood rubbish. Markus
must be horrified to see how they have destroyed his masterpiece. I for one will not be going to see it.
