And yeah on the pipeline side of things I guess the idea is to do enough preclinical work to demonstrate an effect, then slap a patent on it so you have priority over its development, and then take a little more time (and spread the cash out) to develop it knowing you have the IP covered.

No coincidence perhaps that a few weeks before the Heart results were released to market in Dec 2021, this patent was filed by PAR in late October 21..

Interesting too that we first entered this area exactly 5 years ago by in-licensing a patent owned by the Uni of Oslo with a 2013 priority date....

So it seems that the recent patent application expands on this in some way (using recent preclinical data), which buys an aditional 8 years coverage and is owned outright by Paradigm.
