Brilliant post, donna. Thanks. My kids used to bring a whole lot of "strays" home also. Luckily we both had the same enjoyment of cooking as you two have. Loved it! I've shifted from that house now and have a much smaller yard but the old one was a beauty -quarter acre with plenty of space for vegies and fruit trees and a huge aviary.
But we're still doing OK. Mum's an absolute ripper with the amount of vegies she's got going at the lovely age of 83! Talk about a strong woman!
