Paul Fullwood

Abertay University


Professor Paul Fullwood was appointed to lead IC CAVE at Abertay University as part of a major strategic expansion of activities in the centre. In an innovative and farsighted move, Abertay has sought to capitalise on its strengths in this area and provide the environment for Paul to create and build profitable commercial operations.

Paul has a noted track record in founding companies and leading them to market, creating great returns for shareholders.Paul has an impressive background in both technology and content development for tv and interactive entertainment in a career spanning over 25 years.

He founded his own software development company in the USA in 1979, moving the company on in to television production and technology and consultancy for ten years. As multimedia technology and content developed during the eighties, Paul founded his own studio in Los Angeles, developing and producing content for console and PC platforms.

In 1996 he was made Vice President, Product Development at Lightspan Inc. a company developing educational games for the Sony Playstation. In 1999 he joined Hasbro Interactive as VP Head of Worldwide Studios where he ran a team of 230 internal developers with a $26m budget and a similar budget in extertnal outsourcing at Hasbro Interactive Studios (formerly Microprose).

In 2001 he founded Digital Animation Inc, a venture capital -funded company with unique video compression technology.
