Before I got to where you said "therapeutic", I thought "He'll be finding this very therapeutic". And it is. The soil is too poor where we live for anything to grow, and we are looking to move to acreage within the next 12 -24 months. I can't wait to get a vegie garden going again. On our last property we grew all sorts, and everything tasted ten times better than shop bought. I didn't know that sweet corn could be eaten straight from the plant. It is so creamy and soft, and needs no cooking. And the water melons - the taste was out of this world. etc. etc. etc.

btw, sheep poo is the best fertiliser. The pellets act as slow release of the nutrients, and is better than cow or chicken poo. We never used any packet fertilisers, but needed some lime to get the pH right for root crops and onions.

Good luck with it all, and good fun!
