Well now we have an interesting situation. The EU ("champions of democracy") are falling over themselves to give money and support to the Nazi thugs who took over the Ukraine!! As if this was not enough, they have announced that sanctions against Russia will commence after the referendum in the Crimea is held. (A referendum being a fairly democratic way to get an overall picture of what a group of people want.)
They may well feel their sanctions come back to bite them next winter when the gas and oil supply runs short...
