No, the biodegradable polymer matrix isn’t Polynovo’s. The Ph 1 trial of this product commenced in 2013 and the implant uses a “widely used”, FDA approved polymer, PLG.
I posted this because this amazing, cutting-edge research highlighted for me the breadth of potential applications for polymer matrixes and also because PNV has said it has been working with a US polymer company to demonstrate the effectiveness of Novosorb as a subcutaneous drug eluting depot.
