The whole thread is a little demeaning given that the poster would have an indepth knowledge of the markets and construction workers would have very little. Also for many not much would have changed with the GFC, with conditions actually better with lower mortgage, stimulus etc. I do obviously get the point though of ignorance to global events.

I hate the moralistic one's like dlux that post extreme rubbish like this:

"Why do you think AFL, baseball, gridiron, golf, F1 is all go on TV etc etc - it's so that the sheep remain sheep"

Playing sport is one of the most beneficial activities that I have done in my life for a variety of reasons. I certainly don't mock those without the talent to play or the inclination. But assuming people are sheep for watching sport is purely ridiculous. Also tv stations post what viewers want to see. Or is this "another" conspiracy to get us in line comment?
