    I thought finnet was talking about the system , not indiviuals.

    I agree with everything he says , our system of government is a westminster based parliamentry democracy.

    We only vote directly for our local elected members.

    These members then vote of a leader of their party.

    The party which has the majority of vote on the floor of the lower has get to appoint thier leader as PM or Premier.

    Simple.

    If the parliament lose confidence in a PM/Premier they can chuck them out and appoint a new one.

    If you don't like the system , thats fine.

    You should lobby to change it.

    Be careful what you wish for , this system has served us very well and made us one of the most stable democracies in the world.
