Once again - this time in relation to Brumby - we get the statement that he never won an election - or was not elected. This is demonstrating a complete ignorance of our system and it is no wonder that the right go from this basis to the whole range of inaccurate statements. Why does the right not understand how our system works?

Dont worry we all know how it works with Labor. When things stuff up and you have need to hide take your left-hand man and quit on a Friday night - as Bracks did - and let your power broker union mates decide who will take the reigns. When it comes election time, give up all your beliefs and preference the greens above anyone else to ensure you maximise your chances of being re-elected.

In Victoria, Brumby and his predecessor were totally incompetent. Now that they've gone we're left with a multi billion dollar Myki ticketing system that doesn't work (and wasn't needed) and a multi-billion dollar desalination plant that will also cost a billion dollars to run a year even though producing no water (yep you guessed it, not needed). Then on the revenue side we have a speeding camera system (the most cameras of any state) that is inaccurate and fines innocent people to esnure the budget can be balanced.

Yes we know how it works. How it works is wheen people have enough of incompetency they change sides, and that's just what Victorian voters did in hordes and without any shonky preference deals with the Greens.

How it must irk you that the Greens are becoming more and more irrelevant as time goes on. Thankfully the majority of people see through the idealism and understand realities.

Thankfully coalition are back in to try and mend the damage as they have had to do many times before.
