Well unfortunately you stopped growing at 5'
Not to be defeated by circumstance and being master of your own destiny
You work your way up to become chief minister for weight and measures
And then while no one is taking much notice you each year reduce the size of the standard inch ( or centimeter ! ) by a certain %
each year your self esteem grows along with your measured height
With enormous fanfare and excitement you declare the very day your height grows to 6' 6''
slaps on the back and self congratulations
Must be the positive affirmations ,where there is a will,, superior genes and diet etc....
funny thing though everybody else has got taller too and in a relative sense nothing as altered
And the distortions created are causing unforeseen problems
Doorways measured long ago Now seem unsafe to people.. People feel that there grip on reality as failed them.. that uncertainty starts to undermine confidence
And though We can see We are all giants now We seem ineffective and weak...
Yep There IS no unchanging store of value contained in something
there are only relative relationships And We measure the worth of something relative to something else
maybe the Dow should be measured Vs Elvis memorabilia
as I saw such an index once
From memory the Dow had fallen steadily since his death ..
