I think you'll find I referred to the animal as a calf not a cow and I know it's a him because he's been desexed already. He's a steer not a bull calf any more.

And his mother still loves him. He bellowed when I came between him and her and she called out as if to say 'Get over here son, lest those nasty humans do something else that's painful to you'.

Should I be steering right away from this topic?
