The digital economy is increasing faster than any other in the world, usage, data bandwidth required is increasing exponentially. More and more business is conducted online every single day, none of this is even disputed.
It is also well known that the economic benefits for fast broadband internet connections far out way the costs in the long run.
Let's have a look at South Korea, 60 years ago they were poorer then North Korea and starving. They now the 13th largest economy in the world just behind Australia, soon to over take. They have zero mineral resources but they do have the fasted internet in the world which allows business to thrive and prosper. This is not all from high speed internet of course but it has been a massive contributing factor.
Just having the infrastructure there creates new opportunities and businesses that don't even exist yet.
Our politicians need to bite the bullet spend the money and do this right for our economical future!
