the importance of scale, page-2

I particularly like your last point there DJL.... There's an absolute refusal from the bears to recognise the new QFX that emerged in late 2011 when they launched the streaming service. And the heavy capex associated with that launch.

To date... QFX are the ONLY streaming provider to get a subscription service to market with any scale at all. And pretty much PPV too (not sure what happened to Ezyflix). Both hoyts and Foxtel have failed to this point and pushed back launch plans.

The other important part of 'scale' is the fact that most content deals require fixed and/or minimum payments. As QFX adds customers, the incremental profitability per subscriber is massive.

And then when QFX management have confidence in the product offer and launch a stand alone streaming deal at say $9.99.... The upside will be massive!
