austraylien, I like your outlook on this. I've held silver for 20 years and it hasn't caused me any worry or problems.
My cash is a representation of value, which, due to shenanigans, could come to represent a lot less.
Silver on the other hand, IS value, intrinsically. Once I've traded cash for silver, it's perceived cash value becomes irrelevant to me.
Whatever happens in the financial world, I have a store of value that I can trade for goods or services. Whether silver becomes worth $500.00 per ounce or stays about $30.00, it really doesn't matter. It just gives me other options besides cash. I may never use it...but it's there if I need it, just the same as my shotgun. lol.
