I note that HopgoodGanim have been appointed to advise Bow Energy on the $520 million conditional takeover bid by Shell and PetroChina subsidiary, Arrow Energy. I would presume that their task goes beyond merely formalising the legalities of a takeover. The market has now placed a far higher price on BOW than the Arrow $1.48 offer. It would be nice to know what HopgoodGanim, a legal firm dealing in corporate and commercial law, are actually advising BOW on.
