They made a couple of comments about Abbott's speech this week that on the one hand were valid and on the other showed how keen they are to drill down to highlight them - most people missed them.
His promise to not go back on any of his pre-election promises is dangerous. He will have to amend his parental leave plans for instance. I assume he was thinking really big ones like co2 tax. His declaration to take his shadow cabinet into government is restrictive and will deny and frustrate better talent on the back benches. He's a pretty simple bloke really.
