Whilst our judicial system is not perfect our "rule of law" works far better than in many other places, Malaysia comes to mind, and this rule of law works because certain crimes, the worst type are not compromised by a statute of limitations.

All perpetrators of these crimes should live in fear that at any time after the crime is committed they could find themselves in Court.
