Good morning fellow LTH’s, I set up this thread to promote, discuss, argue (constructively) and most importantly inform people like me and the reasonably intelligent retail investor looking for decent analysis
(I figured that would be about 99% of the LTH and potential new ones).
The last few weeks IMO have highlighted the importance of a thread like this.
Its 5.00am here and I have been up for the last hour or so reading the various threads, and this has been a theme in our current period of company purdah.
One thought raised has been the merits or danger of Mesoblast talking to other companies other than Novartis, (shock horror). Would Novartis walk away?
Another, Why doesn’t someone ring Novartis to see if they will tell us.
The answer to both is no.
All this is frustration, frustration made worse IMO, due to that FDA decision, underlined by some hard hitting factual posts on HC, showing where other drugs were squeezed through with no real patient benefit, terrible side effects, but big, big pharma interest and profit.
OK the case for Mesoblast talking to lots of companies.
Consider you are single, not the sad pathetic type (They are like those 2 to 4 line twerps who keep posting their “valuable” thoughts on MSB and have no interest or understanding on the subject), but someone who has done well, good prospects etc. You are looking for a partner, you identify a possible. You want to be careful so you take it slow, you do your research, you look for hard evidence, you evaluate. As time goes by you realise that they are genuine, with real depth, real prospects, exciting and in fact world beating in what they do. You also realise that together with what you can bring to the table, you would be the best in the world by some distance and for some time.
Well you also realise that there are others (not many) who are in a similar position to you.
So the 64 billion dollar question is ? What would you do?
History has shown, whether it be in personal relationships, national interests or in this case business, you don’t walk away, you fight. SI has been fighting to establish our credentials, the data is showing exactly what that is. The potential will frighten every major pharma in the business of inflammation. So I suspect that talking to others is exactly the thing to do, Will they walk away or will they fight like hell to partner up?
Well, punk do you feel lucky? Or in this case Well, big pharma, have you seen the Heart, CLBP, Ards, SRGvHD, initial Crohn’s/Colitis, etc etc, data?
I always felt I should have been the new Clint Eastwood (and Ian Botham) ah well still time to be Father Christmas.
