These are just the tip of the icebergs of trying to do business in the SI on traditional customary lands.
Clearly there are San Jorge landowners who feel they have not been rewarded as per their expectations signed under the SAA. These articles no matter who pens them, contain some element of truth.
Without being privy to the exact terms of AVQ’s SAA, no one here has any accurate idea if AVQ has reneged on paying as per SAA terms or some landowners are just money grabbing for themselves or extended family members.
What shareholders should be worried about are the constant contradictory press articles which can only further erode & damage AVQ’s credibility on the ground at all gov’t levels in SI. It is a very tiny place.
This in turn is going to make the issue of both the Isabel Business Licence & SI Export Permit extremely difficult to obtain, as the culture of these SI’er people to think & act is so different to all foreigners & what we do in business.
