Australian bricks and morter retailers are in trouble because online retailing is booming. They have been beaten by the internet where goods are much cheaper, this has nothing to do with politics.
I buy a lot of stuff online most often directly from overseas sellers for about half the price bricks and mortar sell the same item for here.
