I agree. No longer is biota a one off thematic stock. The stockpiling market is firmly entrenched and the BARDA funding confirmed its importance even in these tough economic times. It may even increase further with the realization that terrorists can copy the recent scientific work and make h5n1 easily transmitted amongst humans.

Biota is a whole new story. But the local market is still valuing it like the same old dog. As the east hills of the world but the stock
up cheap, the Aussie superfunds will buy when the 'easy' money is off the table.

CSL and COH were small fry years ago as were many other large biotech stocks. Biota has a chance at th big time with drugs that work in blockbuster markets and an attractive pipeline.

It's an exciting year, especially given a Nasdaq listing may be on the cards.
