The result: Download speed 26.4 Mbps Upload speed 3.6 Mbps ................... Now compare this to major cities in other countries - for cellular internet speeds: Singapore 225.71 Mbps China 223.49 Mbps Chile 220.96 Mbps UAE 206.12 Mbps . USA 192.73 Mbps . Barbados 78.49 Mbps UK 71.14 Mbps The reporter is complaining that Indonesia only has a speed of download speed - 17.57 Mbps upload speed - 10.65 Mbps, - and that more needs to be done. Am I missing something here??? Australia has some of the most expensive telecommunication charges in the world !!!! Is the joke on us ???

That's what happens when you subsidise massive loss making connections in regional areas with profitable city connections. Nationalising fibre networks to create the NBN did this.
