More complex tasks will still utilise cloud-based LLMs. Essentially, these SLMs are optimised versions of LLMs, which aligns perfectly with what Apple's LLM platform aims to achieve. Additionally, Appen holds a minority interest in Reka AI, further highlighting the industry's move towards tailored and efficient language model solutions.
