They mention 'RAG' (retrieval-augmented generation) a lot, and trying to position themselves as middle man between the foundation model builders and Fortune 500 / 2000 businesses trying to 'contextualise' LLMs for their businesses and make them useful. When I Google RAG, lots of big names pop up (AWS, NVIDIA, Google, Snowflake, etc). This seems to be their strategic bet to reshape the business and survive. The big question to my mind is, can they compete with the names above? Is there any point of difference that their much touted 30 years of experience brings to the table? What is the future of their 1million gig workers in the cloud? Any insights would be appreciated.
