This is going to be a very big market - expecting Appen to win 20-30% of market share is unrealistic.
Yes our customers are becoming our competitors and that's fine. You still need quality data sets and tools to run quality AI.
Appen already has 8/10 top model builders as its main customer base otherwise AU$380m revenue would not be achievable. The platform just released but data and alot of it is still required with model builders. SLM's is an important release still under development.
Appen is a full stack data and tools business. The crowd comes in if a customer wants a domain expert or massive amounts of data.
This is going to be a very big market - expecting Appen to win...
