Yes, while it's a different subsector, motorists in Melbourne are suddenly paying about 10 to 15 per cent more per litre.
QAN has been benefiting from what airlines state have been low aviation turbine fuel prices per kilogram, so (in time - never immediately given stocks) this may hurt its bottom line, especially since fuel is its second biggest expense after staff. I forget to what percentage QAN is hedged re fuel.
