My concern is with the erosion of the burden of proof principle upon which our justice system is supposed to be based. In the age of the internet and "social media", I am very disturbed by how an accused can now be found guilty of a serious crime based on the uncorroborated testimony of a single individual, without any witnesses or evidence. The concept of juries being composed of 12 fair-minded individuals without bias or agenda is now a sick joke. This new attitude that claimed victims MUST now be believed is a very disturbing development. Kids take to drugs for many reasons, often peer group pressure and just to try something new. After the Royal Commission, pedo-paranoia is at fever pitch, and anyone who has had an altercation with a child even decades ago, be they sports coaches, teachers, youth leaders, etc, has good reason to be concerned. Expressing concerns about the Pell verdict does not mean I support pedophilia. I could go on, but clearly you will not understand because you are obviously happy with the current legal system and can't see the problems. You sound like you're one of the leftist lynch-mob.

Actually, if you had sat on a jury before, you would know the judge explicitly instructs jurors that merely believing the testimony of the victim is not sufficient in its own right to strictly warrant a guilty verdict. Anyone who has a previous knowledge of the case or anyone involved in the proceedings is also ineligible to sit on the jury. Have you done jury duty before?
