No obviously it is not unusual, but hey the structures have to be drilled to find out what is there don't they?
Often it is nothing at all, so you really can't go round extrapolating the results of completely different fields and applying them as likely results to others without even looking at the seismic and actually drilling them to see what is there like you seem to be trying to do?
