We pay too much personal income tax.

If a person works harder, has come up from scratch by hard work (By age around 50).

And reached an income say of around $220k, they are absolutely ripped off.

    Pay Income tax of 50%
Private health rebate goes down to 8%

So of every $100 they earn, $50 is income tax + 10% of leftover $5 is GST.

++ all the indirect taxes that are paid behind the scenes.

If they have invested in property, then there is Land tax lol

How does the govt expect people to pay for themselves after retirement, if they take all away to start with.

A person who works hard is entitled to enjoy good cars (lets not for forget Luxury car tax lol), go on great holidays.

As a responsible citizen, its fair to pay tax towards retired pensioners and disabled etc. But not towards dole bludgers and people
who think its their birthright to have 6 kids (should be capped to 2 kids) on welfare or towards refugees who by large never ever get a job. Its ok to support for 1 or 2 years , but that should be it.

What I also don't believe is fair is:
    * For welfare categories etc, the govt sees Family combined income.
*but for income tax its individual income. (That too should be combined, then taxed)
Different standards for taking and giving

1 reason the govt wins is that people are divided, people are jealous of others with higher income, and always think it is fair to increase tax for persons earning more than them, but they themselves should be paying less tax.

When the public is divided, the govt will win

    Thats my opinion.
