An interesting and worthwhile exercise and I don't criticize the method at all.

However, it is a very raw and high level analysis. It is for all ANDAs regardless of how they may differ from each other. It should, therefore, be kept in perspective.

The real story will be in a lower level of detail.

How many of the 100 were first generics? How many were injectables? How many were manufacturing in India? How many were fill and finishing in India?

May be 100 is too small a sample when classified like this - then look at the last 200 or 300 ANDAs.

What is the breakdown when you look at the sub-groups? What does fonda's cohort look like (first generic, injectable, made and finished in India etc). That data, if similar to greenisgood's overall analysis, would then convince me that all's honky Dorey.
