you are exactly right spot on. people forgetting Indonesia is going to reduce coal exportation this year to protect their own national interest. Chinese can buy a lot more from Russia but logistical is the biggest problem. shipment from black sea is almost impossible now, rail freight is always notoriously slow and the capacity and the distance from Russian's end. then it is too far away from Chinese coastal cities which needed most.
one and only sensible solution is resume trade with Australia which will benefit both country and my WHCs SP tremendously.
of course they made what I thought was the wrong decision. simply because it is cheaper to buy from Australia than produce back in China (used to be, I don't know about now due to the higher price). and also Aussie has much higher quality coals.
