If you want to use the oil well analogy, you should say that ANP is drilling 3 oil wells in different areas that has the same proven reservoir (Antisense technology). There is already a gusher (Kynamro) from the said reservoir.



Unlike conventional drug discovery, the Antisense sequence can be adjusted to try again within a short time frame if the data is not favourable. As such I don't see this drug discovery platform is a candidate for crash and burn. Unlike an oil well that if it is a duster, you have to abandon it, the Anitsense is not a one hit or miss type technology.

For anitsense, the more critical enemy is the race against others who are targeting similar diseases.
