re: the latest hot stock - cheerful It was intended by past management to maintain the majority shareholding in QML, however I imagine with a lawsuit in place between the exchairman and members of the new board, there is going to be areas of the company which the new board will attempt to show as poor past management. I imagine they will be painting the investment in QML as being dead money which could have been better put to use in growing CHL's own business, hence the recent sale of the shareholding.

A more balanced view would suggest QML is a fledgling company about to spread it's wings with some good contracts now in place and the company beginning to post profits. My opinion is the QML business looks to be heading in the right direction and could reward it's shareholders handsomely in the LT if they remain patient, but now that CHL has sold out, my interest in QML is only one of curiosity.

CHL is about to launch an automation project, which will simplify the reporting and circulating of certification test results, and this process is expected to produce higher profit margins as it will allow a higher amount of testing results to be processed without a subsequent increase in costs. basically this will boil down to higher revenues on the back of higher tonnnages exported, but a flatenning out of operating costs, leading to superior profit margins from coal superintending operations.
