Let's say you and I are partners in a business and you decide to sell your share because you don't like the way the business is heading. Someone comes along and buys your share in good faith and becomes my new partner.

The last thing I need is for you to call by every other day and tell me and my new partner what a dud business we have.

You have sold mate, don't try and vindicate or validate your decision to sell by rubbishing the business.
