Greg Hunt, in one of the longer interview transcripts I've seen, is twice forced to defend his direct action policy. On both occasions he mentions "cleaning up power stations" first in his list of reduction methods.

I know it's a script he's been sticking with for some time now, but I'm please to see "cleaning up power stations" is still front of mind for him when it comes to his ERF/DA policy.

Hadn't heard him mention it for quite a while and was starting to worry. Bring on the first ERF auctions next month.

What/which will be the first "power station" they attempt to clean up, and what method will they use? All our/my previous research pointed to DICE as a method, but first they need commercial quantity MRC to feed the engine/s as currently being tested in Japan. The engines are available practically "off the shelf" with a few mod's, but the fuel is not.

What sort of project could Exergen be working on that avoids the red tape? A Geelong based demo using Bacchus coal?

Geelong business chamber recently talked about a coal based green fuel project employing similar numbers to those mentioned in Theiss/Sedgman Bacchus scoping study. Nothing appears to be moving forward in LV(red tape). Mantle first likely exporter of brown coal from Vic according to GHD report to Geelong Council. Are our ducks lining up?
