The problem is that no one provides an alternate view of the governments role todate and in the absence of such posts we must conclude that they do not exist. The snug retort that "we don't want to caste pearls before the swine" is disingenous in the extreme.

"Malcolm Turnbull may be on the nose in Liberal ranks at the moment but if the next election turns into a Coalition disaster they may yet beg Turnbull to return into a leadership role."

I for one hope they advise Mr Turnbull that he does not represent the Liberal government at the next election.
