the latest poll reflects big labor win, page-80

Posters report the polls as they come out. It was the media that came up with the rogue poll term and as I have previously stated even the poll referred to as rogue had Labor in a winning position just as do the most recent Newspoll and the Morgan Poll published last Friday. So cant see the point being made.

All the major polls from 2007 to 2010 have the Rudd Labor Government in a winning position. They are the indisputable facts. The most recent Newspoll published before The Morgan Poll came out last Friday had Labor on 53% and Coalition on 47%. The Morgan face to face poll has Labor on 57.5% and Coalition on 42.5%.

The Newspoll has Rudd as preferred PM with 55% and Abbott on 27%. Interestingly Newspoll also shows more voters would prefer Julia Gillard for PM than Tony Abbott. Gillard 49% Abbott 38%. Rudd, however is preferred over Gillard with Rudd 57% to Gillards 32%. Not a very flattering position for the Coalition and from the NEWSPOLL figures.
