    Yes, I see no reason to replace existing working infrastructure. Somebody may have a super new road surfacing material but I would be against digging up the present roads to try it out.

    As the existing baseload power plants come to the end if their useful life, as they do, then all prospective producers would be able to bid to provide a replacement, to be finished and operational prior to the end of the old plant. Any technology they want that can provide baseload, best bid wins the gig.

    The mix is irrelevant if output is guaranteed. Certainty for every consumer at the cheapest price.

    Australia would see massive benefits.
