Could you imagine the kerfuffle if they HAD sent two coppers on pushbikes [as someone suggested here] and they were murdered and the terrorists vanished, having been warned.
I do wonder about overkill with coppers on operations, and think of Blues Brothers, but that happens routinely. Somehow the left can now say "Tony's fault" yet again.
