if you go back far enough, you will find corruptions amongst the non-Labor parties/governments too: in Qld during the later years of the Joh regime, the land deals scandal during the time of Victorian state govt. Thank goodness that we have a free press as the press played a big part in exposing the corrupt practices.
Corruption is not an evil that only afflicts on the Labor Party, unless of course you choose to see only what you want to see.
Longevity in office, especially at the state and local government level, is a rich breding ground for corruption, in my opinion.
