I don't think it's an excuse for corruption. Just pointing out the obvious reason why we are seeing so much controversy about state labor governments.

And it is certainly not limited to Labor governments - you've already mentioned Peterson, John Olsen left in controversial circumstances, I recall Court being in trouble, and the CLP chief ministers of NT were always good for a laugh! In 10 years time when we have wall to wall incompetent Liberal governments it'll be deja vu all over again...
