But, I'm also disappointed in Brumby's work, as well. Lots to moan about there, I can tell you; particularly as an ex-teacher!
Brown's agreement with Brandis was, I'd like to think, an aberration, a lapse of something or other that interfered with his better judgement, something inexplicable, except for the fact that he, too, is, when all is said and done, another politician. I noted with quite some relief and encouragement, that no other Greenie came out to support his observation.
And, yes, I agree with you, "some tweaking" may need to be done to placate and cajole the masses. A party will always need to do that: be pragmatic. The unwritten but indomitable rule in politics is: Power first, policies later! (Alas!)
