I have Labor friends, and some who are no longer with us who I have had spirited discussions with, sometimes we agree sometimes we don't but I'm certain that to even vaguely link that speech and that person to today's so called Labor/Socialist Party would disgust them
It would be an insult to them to think that the present Labor/Socialist Party is in any way similar to the Labor Party and people of that earlier time who really did work for the working man and women.
