They only expect PLS to produce 150kt of spodumene in 2019.
Seems conservative.
If you are to believe Ken first product will be on the ground in June, I reckon it won’t make that, I’ll go with July and first shipment by September/October. I’m sure I read somewhere that it will be 6-9 months of a ramp up so that brings them to the middle of 2019 for full output. 6-9 months seems excessive but even if it is 9 months you should still have 6 months at full production which alone will produce 150kt of spodumene. I’d be surprised if PLS produce less than 200kt of spodumene in 2019.
Can anyone tell me whether PLS will achieve a higher price for anything above 6% spodumene or are the contracts based on 6% only?
