team12 i believe the cost for treatment currently is being projected in the lct announcements as around 150k. expensive but once it becomes mainstream (which i believe it will) you would likely see some sort of government rebate system.
i have a daughter who is type 1 and have been following this company for over 3 years. she is 5 and got it before her 2nd birthday. imo this is truly groundbreaking stuff and if it can also be put to use for type 2 diabetics the market for this will be absolutely huge which should also see the cost come down.
