The credibility of the LME is in tatters, its a joke;
A large Chinese investor took a huge bet on shorting the nickel price. He lost the bet and those on the other side of the bets were about to make a fortune. The LME now says that some trades will be remarked at a different price and other bets are cancelled.
Wealth is transferred from others to the Chinese investor by the Chinese controlled LME.
Many other people have lost on their LME bets over the years without this preferential treatment.
