There could be a substantial benefit to both buyers and sellers of Ni, by adopting the process set up for Li. Sellers put shipments up for auction, buyers bid for them.
At least it will address both supply and demand factors. Unfortunately it is unable to address longer term pricing.
I too hope the Chicago Metals Exchange starts to trade Ni so that all genuine parties can avoid China's clutches.
