    A decent opposition could easily hold Labor to account on how they're rolling out renewables. There is plenty of room for criticism there.

    Dutton's opening line was that Labor isn't going to reach 43% by 2030. Which may or may not be true . Too close to call at the moment.

    lmagine if Dutton had come out and said " Labor isn't going to achieve 43% by 2030 but we will " and then rolled out a plan where the Coalition had a solid plan that was better than Labor's ?

    More investment in renewables. More consultation with community groups that are opposing the inevitable . More local industry investment in renewable technology.

    Dutton has really messed this up.
